MFTeasers: Day 1 Lisa Johnson Designs!

Hi there and welcome to day ONE of teasers from My Favorite Things!   We have SO MANY fun sets and new Die-namics to share over the next week that you won't want to miss a thing!

Today we are introducing the first set from Lisa Johnson Designs, Circus Spectacular and the newest Who's That Girl:  WTG Gets Down to Business.

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I have a card to share using the debut Lisa Johnson Designs set, Circus Spectacular!  I have also used the coordinating Circus Spectacular Die-namics along with the new Ticket Strip Die-namics, Award Seal Die-namics and the Circle STAX Die-namics.   My card is very masculine thanks to the MME Fun Day papers I used.   I just love how the Award Seal Die-namics layer beautifully with the Circle STAX!

The inside of the card mimics the front.

Here are the Die-namics I used:

A Card and an MFT Announcement!!

Hi there!  I'm just popping in here today to let you know that today MFT is welcoming a new Design Team Member to the MFT family!   For the "official" announcement head on over to the MFT Blog!!!

I also have a card to share that I made for my Brother-in-law, Rocky, whose birthday was earlier this month.  I thought it was pretty darn masculine (something I STRUGGLE with) but hubby thought otherwise!  He loved the colors but wasn't too keen on the twine and the little flags!  HA!   Hubby liked the card (he likes all the cards I make) but was hoping for something a little more manly for his little brother :)  MEN......sheesh.....

Anywho, the sentiment from Big Greetings was stamped on a Circle STAX and matted on a larger Circle STAX.  The new Sentiment Strips were used for the turquoise strip across the front of the circle and was finished with a Black Licorice Button.  The Fishtail Flags STAX were used for the flags hanging from the circle.  The papers are Echo Park Happy Days 6x6.

There's No One Like You {SSS164}

Hi there!  I'm here with another Sweet Sunday Sketch!  We don't have a guest this time around but Karen is offering up some awesome Blog Candy!  I can't give it away, but Karen can give you all the details on her blog!  It's good stuff!!

Here is this week's sketch:

And here's my card using MFT's Pure Innocence Freckles and the following Die-namics Dies:  Botanical Beauty, First Place Award Ribbon and Tag You're It.

I really struggled with this card and not because of the sketch but because of the patterned paper I decided to use!  I pushed through and am kind of happy with the end result, but this card ALMOST ended up in the trash!  Glad I didn't give up!  The patterned paper is MME Indie Chic "Saffron" 6x6.

I hope you get a chance to play along and if you do make sure to link your card on Karen's Blog for a chance to be the next Sweet Sunday Sketch Guest designer!

Don't forget to check out my fellow Sweet Sunday Sketch girls!

Missing You Bunches {MFTWSC82}

It's time to get sketchy with My Favorite Things!  This week's sketch is a goodie!  I hope you have a chance to play along!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer!

I used Flopsey's Flowers for my card.  He was colored with Copics, was fussy cut out and popped up for dimension.  A Sentiment Strip was used for the sentiment and the flower was made with Upsy Daisy.  The little aqua tag sticking out the side was made with Mix and Match Banners.  The papers are Glitz Cashmere Dame 6x6.

Thanks Bunches {MFTWSC81}

It's time to get sketchy with My Favorite Things!  I sound like a broken record every week, but this week's sketch is great!  I hope you'll find a chance to play along!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I used Mouse in the House Blessed Mouse for my card.  She was colored with Copics and her shirt was paper pieced.  The ground was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS (I obviously need a little work in that department) She was cut out with Rectangle STAX Die-namics.  I used the new Sentiment Strips for the sentiment and that beautiful button is from the new Tangy Orange Button collection.

MFT Pure Innocence Simple Pleasures VIP!

Hi there!  It's time for this month's Pure Innocence Simple Pleasures VIP New Product Tour!  This month's VIP kit is ADORABLE!!!

Head on over the MFT Blog for a link to each designer!

Here's some info on the kit and then I'll get to my cards!

Pure Innocence Picture Perfect stamp set
Pure Innocence Piggy Bank stamp set
Simple Pleasures Sentiments mini (VIP exclusive stamp set - will never be offered for sale or be available again $9 value, FREE)
Lead the Way Die-namics

The VIP kit is a LIMITED QUANTITY product that gives you the opportunity to purchase upcoming stamp sets and Die-namics dies THREE WEEKS early.  The mini set included in the kit is exclusive to the kit and will never be available for sale again.

For my first card I used the MOST ADORABLE Pure Innocence image EVAH, Picture Perfect!  I just love how she looks holding the frame!  She was colored with Copics and her dress was paper pieced.  She was cut out with Rectangle STAX Die-namics and I added a little machine stitching for some interest.  The arrow is from the Lead the Way Die-namics included with the kit and I LOVE them!  So many great shaped arrows!  The heart was cut from burlap using the Hearts A Plenty Die-namics and was finished with the sentiment cut using a Sentiment Strip Die-namics, a Sno Cone Button and some linen thread.

My second card uses the new Pure Innocence Piggy Bank.  She is SO CUTE!  She was colored with Copics and her pants were paper pieced.  She was cut out with Oval STAX Die-namics.  The flower was cut using the Flower and Leaf Trio Die-namics and the sentiment was stamped on a Sentiment Strip Die-namics.  There are some more arrows from the VIP kit.  The Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics was used for the scallops.
